(“UVJC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) believes in the importance of privacy and respects the privacy of visitors to this website (this “Site”) and is committed to complying with the applicable data protection laws in the countries in which we operate, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (the “PDPA”). We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy (this “Policy”), which explains our practices in connection with the information about you that we may collect through this Site. By accessing or using this Site or submitting any personal data to us through the Site or otherwise, you agree to the collection, use and/or disclosure of your information (including personal data) as described in this Policy.
This Policy is incorporated into and forms a part of this Site’s Terms of Use.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU
We collect information, including personal data, from and about users of this Site, both automatically while you visit this Site and directly when you provide it, as follows:
A. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED USAGE DATA
When you visit this Site, some information is automatically collected. For example, we may collect information about your computer or other device’s operating system, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type and language, and the names of the websites you visited before and after this Site. We also collect information about your usage and activity on this Site, including which pages you visit, how much time you spend on each page, and the day and time of your visit.
UVJC may use “cookies” or related tracking technologies to automatically collect this information. Cookies are small data files stored on your computer or other device’s hard drive by a website. We may use cookies to see which areas and features of this Site are popular and to count visits to this Site. We may use other technologies to count visits, understand usage and to tell if an email has been opened. Except for users of those parts of this Site for which you provide us with personal data, we do not associate cookies with any personal data of visitors to this Site.

Turning off cookies may result in an inability to visit certain areas of this Site or to receive personalized information on this Site.

UVJC does not currently take actions to respond to “do not track” signals sent by web browsers because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed. We continue to review new technologies and may adopt a standard once one is created.
B. PERSONAL DATA YOU CHOOSE TO PROVIDE US
“Personal data” refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified (a) from that data or (b) from that data and other information which we have or are likely to have access. This includes a person’s name, email address, physical address, telephone number, etc. When you use this Site, we only collect personal data about you when you provide it to us. For example, we collect your name, email address and company name when you sign up for email alerts from UVJC under the “Investor Resources” section of this Site or such other information about you related to, or required for, rendering certain services to you. We may also collect your online data when you access the Site, including your IP address. There also may be an opportunity for you to apply for employment with UVJC or a UVJC affiliate via the UVJC e-mail address provided in the “Careers” and “Opportunities” sections of this Site. If you submit a job application to us, we may collect your name and contact details, national identification or passport number and information about your employment history and academic background. While you are under no obligation to provide us with personal data, you should understand that we will not be able to process your communications with us or render certain services that we offer online without this personal data.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information we collect automatically through cookie technologies for UVJC’s legitimate business interests, to facilitate your use of this Site, to analyze usage by visitors and to improve the user experience on this Site.
We use personal data you submit on this Site to meet our legitimate business interests, which includes responding to your queries requests, rendering services or performing our obligations to you, managing our relationship with you, sending you alerts and any other similar messages, complying with applicable law serving you in ways associated with the circumstances under which you provide us with the information and any other purpose as required or permitted by law. UVJC will only use personal data provided by job applicants for recruitment purposes, which includes processing your application for employment, and any other purpose as required or permitted by law. We do not use personal data for UVJC marketing purposes unless you affirmatively consent or opt-in to such usage.
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
UVJC may disclose or share your personal data with our corporate subsidiaries worldwide that are also bound by this Policy. We will not share your personal data with any third party for that
party’s marketing purposes, although we may disclose your personal data to certain third parties as follows:
- SERVICE PROVIDERS AND AGENTS. We may share personal data with outside service providers, data intermediaries or agents who are only authorized to use the information on our behalf to help us manage and analyze data and improve this Site. These parties access your information only for these tasks and are under obligations similar to those in this Policy.
- LEGAL COMPLIANCE OR ENFORCEMENT. We may disclose your personal data to third parties, including governmental authorities, when we believe disclosure is necessary to (i) comply with a law, regulation or compulsory legal process, (ii) protect the rights, property or safety of UVJC or other persons or entities, or (iii) enforce this Site’s Terms of Use.
- BUSINESS TRANSFERS. If UVJC is involved in a merger, acquisition, business combination, reorganization or other transfer of some, or all of, the company’s business your personal data may be transferred to the buyer or other successor to UVJC.
- NON-PERSONAL DATA. We may disclose aggregated information about this Site’s users, and information that does not identify or allow for the identification of a particular person, at our discretion.
You should note that your personal data may be shared with and stored in countries outside Singapore. If we do so, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA, such as putting in place contractual agreements or binding corporate rules to ensure that the recipients of the transferred personal data abide by the requirements under the PDPA in collecting, using and/or disclosing your personal data).
LENGTH OF RETENTION OF INFORMATION
The usage data and personal data relating to investor services described above will be stored for as long as is necessary in order to fulfill the purposes stated above and if it is necessary for legal or business purposes and will then be deleted or anonymized. In some instances, we may be required by law to retain personal data for longer periods of time, for example, to meet tax and accounting obligations.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Protecting the privacy of children is especially important to UVJC. This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, do not provide any personal data on this Site, or use any of the interactive features.
EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, residents of countries in the European Economic Area (the “EEA”) have the right to request information about the personal data that we have stored about you. In addition, you have the right to request that the data be corrected, deleted, restricted and refused to be processed and that you or a third party named by you be transferred the stored data in a suitable form. Please note that UVJC can delete your personal data only if there is no statutory obligation or prevailing right of UVJC to retain it. We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you believe that UVJC is not processing your personal data in accordance with the requirements in this Policy or in applicable EEA data protection laws, you can at any time lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the EEA country in which you live or with the data protection authority of the country or state in which UDC Ireland Limited has its registered seat. Our establishment within the European Union is in Ireland.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
UVJC takes reasonable precautions to safeguard the security of personal data we collect on this Site. Despite such efforts, however, please note that no company can fully eliminate risks or guarantee the security of personal data. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of information about you at any time, and we bear no liability for uses or disclosures of personal data or other data arising in connection with theft of information or other malicious actions. We ask website users to be aware of security risks when using the Internet and to help us safeguard their information.
LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES
This Site may include links to sites operated by third parties. This does not mean that UVJC endorses these sites, nor are we responsible for their content or policies. Third party sites are governed by their own privacy policies. You should familiarize yourself with the privacy policy of other sites you visit as it will govern any information you provide through that site.
WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed in this Policy by sending an email to application@oled.com and include your name, email address and phone number as submitted with your application (note, however, that we may retain certain information as required or permitted by applicable law).
Upon receipt of your request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process and effect your request within 30 days of receiving it.
Please note that depending on the nature and extent of your request, we may not be in a position to continue processing your communications with us or rendering services to you. We shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request.
ACCESSING AND CORRECTION OF INFORMATION
If you wish to make (a) an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data during the past year, or (b) a correction request to correct or update any of your personal data which we hold. please send an email to application@oled.com and include your name, email address and phone number as submitted with your application.
Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request. We will respond to your access request as soon as reasonably possible, except where applicable laws permit or require us not to do so. Should we not be able to respond to your access request within thirty (30) days after receiving your access request, we will, with such time, inform you in writing of when we expect to be able to respond to your request. Please note that depending on the request that is being made, we will only need to provide you with access to the personal data contained in the documents requested, and not to the entire documents themselves. In those cases, it may be appropriate for us to simply provide you with confirmation of the personal data that our organisation has on record, if the record of your personal data forms a negligible part of the document.
We will respond to your correction request as soon as reasonably possible, except where applicable laws permit or require us not to do so, and send the corrected personal data to every other organisation to which the relevant personal data was disclosed by us within a year before the date the correction request was made (unless that other organisation does not need the corrected personal data for any legal or business purpose).
we are unable to or not required to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).
